No one knows the name of the original ancestor wolf, whose paws were the first to bring magic to Isle Everwood’s soil. Some just call him The Great Star Wolf. His story has been told by many wolves, passed down from generation to generation by mouth alone, but it never seemed to alter. It is said that he made a great journey, swimming from the home land to the island, with only the water that rained from the sky to drink. And when he finally landed on shore, on an isle long abandoned by humans for a reason still unknown, the great star wolf got to rest.

During the night, a dream came to him from far away. A premonition, showing him a glimpse into the future. The dream showed him that all of the inhabitants on the island would eventually inherit his abilities through blood lines, and that they would have wonderful powers to help or hinder the peace around the island. When the ancestor awoke, a female, now called the First Lady, was in front of him. She belonged to a very small pack that had been there from the beginning. They did not know how to communicate with eachother, so he taught them. And eventually, he learned of his own powers. He brought with him to the island a hidden element of light. It filled the beings of Everwood with life and they learned to get along. The great star wolf could do many things with his element, when he learned to control it and he provided many miracles for the small pack. The first lady became his mate and so, like his dream said, he became the original father of elemental magic on Isle Everwood.

His element was spread to all of his offspring, but as it was passed down it altered. At first, all the elements were used for good. Fire, ice, water, earth, and light. They all worked together to make their home a better place. But hundreds of years later, when darkness started to creep into the hearts of some of the inhabitants, the elements changed too. Dark, metal, and death all came in. Some choose to follow the path of darkness because of the element forced upon them by birth, that would show itself as they grew into adults, but others would choose to rebel, using their magic for the better. And with that rebellion, the elements changed again, not into light but into elements that became neutral. Dreamers, healers, sky all came into the world. With all the elements in play, Isle Everwood was changed forever. It became a battle for every being to fight for their element, what side they were on.

Now, life on the island is all about survival. What side will you choose? What is your chosen destiny? And will you defy it?
